How do you like your setup? Would you do it again? It is cheaper than a sump, aeromotive pump and filter. Does an 2002 LS1 have a return line? My brother said he thought fuel pressure was controlled by voltage to the pump, is this true. How do you have yours set up? What size fuel lines are you running?
Sorry for all the questions, but my motor will be arriving in the next couple weeks so I want to be ready.
Thanks,
Mike

The 02 Camaro LS1 will have to run the Corvette fuel regulator(search in this section for pics/info/part numbers). The fuel pressure is controlled by a a built in regulator in the Corvette F.R. I have the 03 Truck motor(LQ4 6.0l) and I have a return line coming off my fuel rail. My fuel pressure is controlled right at the fuel rail so I just run my lines front to back for both feed and return. My return is 5/16"(factory quick connect size) and 1/2"(with a special compression fitting to go onto the 3/8 factory quick connect). 3/8" feed is plenty for most guys.
Ask away. I do not mind at all!

The Filter/Regulator is a Delco GF-822, you can reference a 99' Corvette Filter/Regulator. It has a 3/8" input and output and a 5/16" return, all lines are setup to use the GM Quick Disconnects. I am using the Russell q/d adpaters to AN and a Russell Hardline to AN adapter with a short 3/8" line with the bump on it that was pulled from a donor car.
S&P sell a setup using the GF-822 as does Tennesseauto http://store.tennesseeauto.com/ls1fuellinekit.html , a bit costly to buy a setup from them. Just as easy to make it yourself.

wagon tank will not work, the filler tube is on the side. Need one from a caprice passenger car if you want to use that style of tank. I have one I will be using in the 70 chevelle I am building now, I will cut the trunk floor to keep the tank as high up as possible. I used one in my 65 442 and it works great so I am using another one. I found a couple of them for $40 complete so I couldnt pass them up.

You can run a stock tank with out a sump or baffle. You just got to fill it up at a 1/4 instead of empty if you plan on getting on it much. I have 5 k on my swap and have had no issues other than a minor stall when I launch it on 1/8 tank. Normal driving it isn't an issue even when low. If you plan to road race or auto cross it then you will want a sumped tank for sure. I say for street use it ain't necessay espesically if your trying to save a buck on your project.

Decided to go the Spectra original replacement with pump on my 67
because of the amount of hangdown with the caprice tank.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Rock Auto yet! A supplier of the same tank pictured by 67mal. P/N: GM34BFI. It's $451.99, and if you search around the internet, you can find 5% off coupon codes for Rock Auto, and save a bit more!

I made a small sump from a sheetmetal box made for lowrider license plate relocation to the tailgate
just drilled some holes in it and welded it to the tank floor around the stock pickup tube, used an external pump, ran the return line to one of the tank vents, on the inside i ran rubber hose from the vent tube back to the "sump"
so far I've gone as low as 5 gallons with no issues...
license plate box: around $20
stock tank: free
new sending unit/pickup: $40
