6.0 in Chvelle 71 question Hi
I'm plannin to install a 2003 6.0 engine from a GMC pick-up in my 71 Chevelle
i also want to use that 4L80E tranny.
Where can i buy engine and tranny mount for that
Also where can i get a new wiring hardness for my vehicule
I there company that offer modified oil pan and all those small accessorires rather than custom build al that

Welcome to the conversion forum. First thing I suggest is that you read the Stickies at the top of the forum, many of the questions you are asking are answered there. There are a number of companies that offer conversion plates that will adapt the 6.0 motor to standard small block Chevy mounts so it will bolt into your Chevelle. You can get them from S&P, ATS, Hooker headers, Transdapt and even on EBay. There are a number of folks on the forum doing a similar swap, I suggest searching on Chevelle or A Body and you will find a lot of information. The wiring harnesses are available from numerous sources. My personal recomendation is one of the forum sponsors, www.Speartech.com. John provides a great product and outstanding customer service. I am trying to finish my 71 chevelle with a 99' LS1 and T56 (Viper) trans. .there are a few other Chevelle guy in this forum.. (72ChevelleConv.LS1, ls1_chevelle for 2) You can search on there (any mind) ID's and you will find a lot of threads, Pictures and response.
I am using home built plate adapter (BRP style) which allowed me to use all OEM Accessorices (P/S, A/C andAlt), a Cad CTS-V old pan, 95 Impala Gas Tank, Racetronix pump kit (Walbro 255 and wire kit).
i am using a Viper T56 that was convered to F-Body input shaft cause I am using a Beanch Seat and the F-Body T56 came up on the seat. The Viper most it forward enough to clear.
The Rest of the project is a frame off.
