anyone fab headers for swap?
anyone fab headers for swap? getting ready for headers on my 3rd gen and was wondering if anyone else had modified other headers to fit swaps. i think i'm going to get a set of long tubes for a BBC since they already have even port spacing. after a bit of reshaping and some ls1 flanges and i think i will be good to go. anyone done similar?
btw: doing this because the only LT there are for a ls1 3rd gen are Hawks, and they are 850 with a 3" collector. I can pick up a set of BBC lt's for $90 from summit.

Street & Performance Yep. Call S&P and asked them to send me a set of headers which were close to what I wanted. Asked them to just tack weld the flanges and pipes.
Changed the angle and had one pipe re bent. Welded them all up and sent them to Jet-Hot.

The Ford header modification has been done. Here's a copy I saved from a post on the subject:
"I used the bbk 1 3/4 fox body 302 headers, and gmpp header flanges for my rx-7 swap. Was pretty straight foward, cut the flanges off, used a flarer to bring the primariers out to round again. I slid them into the ls1 flanges and welded on the inside. The spacing was perfect, took about 4 hours total. As for the fit in you case I wouldn't know, but if you get a set and the fit in your chassis well, don't be afraid to cut them up."
