Engine not fitting right Guys
I started fitting the LS1 into the 68 camaro frame. I notched out for the a/c compressor and installed the plates for the old style motor mounts. When I set the motor in the frame,one side is too tall. I have the small block frame mounts and the small block motor mounts. I did notice that one frame mount is slightly taller than the other. Is that right?

Sounds like there was a big block in there originally is that true? They were offset to the passenger side, so one is taller than the other. There are 3 sets (at least) of V8 frame mounts for the early Camaros and Novas. There are also different motor mounts. Contact the adapter plate builders and ask them which set to use. You can get the proper frame mounts from one of the classic Chevy suppliers like Year One.
