FD RX7 LSx conversion

FD RX7 LSx conversion Sorry for a new thread, but not being able to find anything to help me out, I did what noobs do best, and started a thread....
Anyway, I am looking to dump my 350z TT project in favor of a LSx powered Mazda FD RX7 (the last gen bodystyle) through Hinson Supercars.
Now here is the barrage of questions:
Is there anyone here who has done this?
Which does respond better to modifications, LS1 or LS6?
Is there an "achilles' heel" to any of these motors (like for example, the 350Z is likely to break a connecting rod if you go beyond 400whp). The guys at the 350z forums gave me all kinds of horror stories about burning oil and engines sporadically letting go...

I would go with the LS1 over the LS6 for a few reasons. one is the price you will pay for the LS6 over the LS1, two is you will have to change to the F-body accessories if you do get a LS6 becasue the vett stuff will not work for the FD. Take a look at the V8rx7 form on www.torquecentral.com all this stuff has been answered over there may times.
I'm just about to finish my project this week. My Hinson kit went together great. A buddy and me had it together in 38 hours with hand tools and neither one of us are professional mechanics. TourqeCentral has a v8 rx-7 section and you'll be able to find anything you need or at least someone to answer you. Do it Do it.
