my power steering is working totally fine, and thats without a cooler and ive been beating the crap out of it with lock to lock action and it doesnt leak. other than blowing a hose off using the crappy nissan clamp i've had no problems.

do people use the stock rear on the 240s for this swap. I know its a good bit bigger than the fbody 10bolt. but id be worried about snappin an axel with the IRS.

its a light car so I think the stock rear works fine for a while, especially if you dont put tires with to much traction on it

Hey, I did a map quest and you're just about an hour-hour half driving distance from me. It also appears your just down the road from wixom, isnt that the same as the wixom plant where they make the Ford GT? Well anyways, I'd really like to drive out there and check it out, what do ya say?

I just hooked up P/S yesterday... I love it now. Always remember to connect the lines correctly... lol. My wheel acted like it was possessed! Not the first time, I did the same thing on an old vette that had a combination valve. The welded diff is holding up great, but still no traction with all seasons. Sticky tires and I will expect something to give. I live in Wixom, yes the wixom plant.

Hey! i see you have sold a skyline powered 200sx, my friend is building one right now. And I tried to convince him to usa an LS1 instead, what do you like best? He is installing an rb25

not to mention the LS1 and the T56 are both easy to service and upgrade... but the RB's are known for costly mods and down time while waiting for parts from Japan or suppliers that supposedly have parts in stock but sometimes do not.

I wouldl think the LSD out of most lsd equipped nissans would be fine for an LS1 240sx even with 275's out back, all day long. the LSD pumpkins and axles are all over ebay for these cars, very common import part from japan and you can also source them online from junkyards if you know what us model/year came with lsd.

Just love it, in fact its people like you who influenced me into making this swap, I'm now looking for a buyer to get my SR out and then time for an LS1.
Owning a machine shop will give me easy access to everything I need to do this swap, hopefully If the time comes I can get some pointers from you.
great job !! looks amazing, my 240sx is so very jealous

GatTagO, lol that is the truth though! A street 10 sec ride from an import is NOT common. I see muscle guys do it all the time.

My rear end is holding fine, I need to go check it because I dumped a holshot by a local shop this mourning and booked because I think a cop was around... So tempting when you have torque!

This car has been so reliable, knock on wood. I beat it all the time and still holds. I am gonna love it when it has a ford 9" in the back.

Rb's are old news, and SR's are ancient. I managed to keep ahead of the game all the time. My friends 240 was the first in MI to have a SR years back and I pretty much had the first RB25DET around MI. Now that everyone wants an RB I have an LS1! Whats next people? Procharger? I also love how when I need something I can goto a local parts store and grab a sensor for a fraction of what it would cost for an import part. All in stock and no down time. Just love it. Thanks for the comments guys I'll post up some new pics and vids!

my welded diff has held up to drifting with 275's on like 15psi of pressure fine
