it runs right now at about 185. it has a stock new clutch in it and a fidanza aluminum flywheel it uses the stock pedals from an LS1 car, everything is from an ls1 car except the clutch line which i had custom made at a local shop, its high pressure hydraulic line. it seems to work very good, just used a stock line ends and thats it, had them pressed on. i really am hoping for low 11's high 10's on motor. but we'll see maybe i might spray 50-75 shot.....

WOW, nice. I almost got one just like this same color for my first car. Here is how it played out. Searching for my very first ride I test drove a 67 camaro. My mom said if your dad says it is ok you can have it. (parents were split up). My dad and I went for a test ride in it. I said dad can i have it. He replied this is a hot rod and you don't need a car like this but I'll tell your mom it is a good car for you to buy so you can get it. So my mom was going to buy the car. That evening I was making the drag with friends and I saw this orange vega with a sbc 350 auto manual shift 350 trans. One of my friends says he is selling it. I went to talk to him and he said 1800$ So I went home and told my mom I don't want the camaro, your right it is not a good car for me and that I had found a vega for sale. A vega she said. What's a vega? I told her you know it is like that little economy car this old lady down the street drove. My mom was so proud of me she went down to the bank to get a loan to buy the car. The next day I was to drive to her work after school and pick her up and and go get the car. That day she ask about the car at her work to some of the fellows in the shop. They all replied yea we know that car he races it at green valley almost every weekend it's real fast. I did not get the Vega or the camaro.
Way nice, thanks for the memories even if they were bad ones at the time.

Wow....that brings back great memories of an old dream of mine. Always wanted a Vega GT with a v-8 but never got to build one. I love the color...is that Hugger Orange?

Very nicely done car. Makes me want one again!!

Sick build it's nice to see a Vega every now and then. Have you ever thought about Camaro tails/rear bumber? Saw that in CarCraft awhile back, looked killer.
