Anyone convert...
Anyone convert... A 1998 pcm to a 2001 or up pcm. Could you just get a brand new harness for the 2001 all the sensor connectors should be the same. How many wires would you have to repin to do it. Any info apreciated.

Wow seems like a couple of these threads poppin up this week. It can be done, there are some sensors that are different. I know that the temperature sensor is different but I don`t know if any other sensors are different, I never actually switched one over. The computer pinouts are different, you can rearrange them but from what I heard it is time consuming. I read in a post from speartech that every time he has repinned one he swares he will never do it again. 
I don`t think you can just get a new 2001 harness because I believe that the pins are also different at the dash cluster, mabey even the connector is different, but I have never seen a 98 or 01 harness so I can`t tell you for sure.
