What is everyone doing for gauges?
The tachometer signal can be changed in the PCM via HPTuners or EFI Live 7 so that it puts out an 8cyl (4 pulse per revolution) signal instead of the factory 4cyl signal. So there is no need for a convertor box for a tach.
The speedometer output from the PCM is a 4000ppm square wave DC signal which is standard on every GM car with an electronic speedo (unless some of the newer cars have started to use serial data for the speedo signal) You can also change the output of this signal as far as how many pulses per mile with EFI Live 7, I don`t know if you can do it with HPTuners too or not. ( mine is set to 2000ppm so that it will work with my oldstyle GM cruise control)
