Merging new and old wiring
On my 62 vette w/ LS1 Speartech harness. Whats the best way to merge w/ factory harnesses. Obviously won't have voltage regulator. Did want to use wiring to lights, dash, etc. Where should factory harness be powered up. Should horn relay be used? This was originally a generator sytem. Tx

I am about to do the same and will document it when it is done for others to have as a reference.
On older cars the horn relay is the main bus to feed +12 volt to the cars electrical system. So basically we do the same in this situation. The LS1 generator feed the battery and from there you can feed the horn relay and then everything in the old system is the same except that the voltage regulator is removed.
The to feed the LS1 engine harness is a different thing. There is a good listing here:

It shows what to connect to the harness. It needs extra fuses and some relays depending on what you connect.
One thing that helps to make the connection easier is to find a harness from a car so you have the other ends of the C100, C101, C105, C220 and C230.
