Question LSX in 72 Cutlass

I was just wondering what you guys think. I have a 72 Cutlass and thinking about installing a LSX and probably an automatic, due to the fact that I don't want to cut up the floor pan since its the original floor pan and has hardly no rust. I was thinking an LS2 and A4 out of a GTO, anyone trying this in this kind of swap in an A-body car (Chevelle, GTO, GS for those that don't know). I want to keep the air-conditioning, because I live in Alabama and the summers are very long and hot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is an absolute no-brainer, no cutting required!
Pretty much any GM car that came equiped with a V-8 can accept a LSX and a A4 without any surgery. Lots of aftermarket parts out there that make this a straight bolt-in swap.

As long as you use the 4L60E (or one of the older Trans, 350, 400, 200r4).. should be no problem or cutting

T56 and the 4L80's are a problem.

Go for it !
