6 speed sonoma
finally got the t56 mated to the 4.3 in my noma. after i get some driveline bugs worked out a built 4.3 is going in

old parts all in the bed

lt1 t56 35,000 miles getting ready to go in the beast

work space

lt1 starter installed (rememebr only the pre 96 4.3s have the straight across bolt pattern)

LT1 flywheel

LT1 clutch assembly

Lt1 bellhousing installed

shifter from drivers point of view

shift ****

shifter from the pass side

trans in and the crossmemebr modded

only worry i have so far is the yoke is kinda far in the trans

yes its t56'ed no you cant drive it

the hydraulics need any mods?
wow. the gears in my head are turning. vortech 4.3 with a 6 speed?
im on stock 3.42 gears right now and the stock factory freak motor that has 230,000 on it. i was a little disapointed at first becuase the motor was running bad. i got it running good and its fun as **** now
motor winds up fast as hell now that i got the 70 pound flywheel out of there
now i just need 4.10's and my new motor

but i thought the people of ls1 tech would enjoy my conversion seeing as how my trans started life as an ls1 based trans thats why it has tremec stickers on it but also hae BW embosed on the shifer housing. plus this place has a wealth of information unlike most forums.
