Need Help on sensor location

Need Help on sensor location The engine I am working on is a 5.3 truck engine. I bought the engine with the intake removed and there are a few things I need to know. I hope someone here can help me out.
There is a boss on top of the intake that looks like a plug was there and I need to know if it was a plug or a sensor. It is on the top front area right behind the Tbody. I hope it was a plug because there is a hole there. I can repair it if it was just a plug, but, I will need a new intake if it was a sensor.
There is another place on the rear of the intake aiming toward the firewall where there is another sensor that is broken off inside the intake. It does not seem to have threads. It looks like it just pushes into the intake. What sensor is this?

Not sure what a 5.3 Truck enine look like up close, I have a LS1 F-Body. It sounds like the front one is the EGR port. The rear one could be the MAP/Vacumn ports and the MAP does push in, but there should be latch to secure it.
