i was reading a thread about people putting autometer gauges (speedo, tach and all the basics) in their ls1 4th gens and it sounded like a pretty easy task and it got me thinking, could i do the same? i would make a custom panel to fit my stock dash and then mount the gauges in it. if i did that, i would think it would make the harness modifications very minimal and would lessen chances of mistakes and wiring problems on my end.

thoughts?
