What was the autometer part number for the speedo you ordered?? Did it say programmable next to it on the website? I know the speedo that I have, 5" Phantom, just uses the vss signal from the trans and you calibrate it. Not saying thats how yours is... just wondering if you got the programmable one.

Im alittle confused dude... That part number comes up as a tach. If you are asking about the tach, I believe you put it on 4cyl mode and just hook it right up to the tach signal wire. If running some other motor other than the LS1...you set it to 8cy.

If you are talking about the Speedo, part number 105-4789... which is the carbon fiber match to the tach, then it shows it as programmable. There is a step by step process you follow, and it will calibrate to your car. If you ever change your gear ratio, you can recalibrate it and make it correct....pretty nice if you ask me.

Haha no problem. Before you go to program it, find a 2 mile stretch of road that you can start off from a dead stop, and come to a complete stop in. In other words dont try to calibrate on the free way The more accurate your 2 mile distance is, the more accurate the speedo reading. Good luck!

I have a programmable autometer and I found out that it will still calibrate even if you do it during a flying 2 miles, it may not be quite as accurate but if you can`t find a good street right by your house and you live near an expressway its better than driving without a speedo until you find a good place.
