My Cable-X is wired direct to the speed sensor on my T56.

I dont use the factory PCM, so that isnt an option.

One of the pins on the PCM is a VSS out that goes to the instrument cluster, radio, abs, etc. I'll have to look when I get home which pin.

Jeff, I've used the Cable-X for the past 5 years and it works okay. I haven't noticed any issues above 90mph when I had my car up to 120mph on my favorite back street a few weeks ago or out at the track. I'd recommend it before a tailhousing swap or trying to use a different speedo.

Perhaps its my cable route then, making it difficult for the motor to spin the cable ??
It was the easiest place to locate the unit, so whilst I'd like it to work, it isnt a big deal.

If I decide to go above 80/90mph, it usually happens only in brief spells, and usually well in excess of that speed.

John, do you get the delay when starting and stopping that stevieturbo was talking about?

I have an Abbott Cable-x8 that is new. Was to be used, however project took a big turn. Will sell $250 plus shipping. includes new cable and original cable as well.

There's probably a split second delay when starting but it's hard to tell for me because my speedo is calibrated to 200mph so the sweep starts very slowly. Haven't really noticed anything odd when slowing to a stop.

Its not time related.

Its just sluggish to respond from standstill...

But as I say, it could be in part as my cable route may be slightly restrictive, so teh motor takes a little oomph for it to start.
