Adequate cooling for a LS2 or LS1

Hee there,

I am in the process of converting my car to an LS1 or LS2 engine and 4L60e.
I will keep the engine mostly stock with some standard bolt-on power adders.

Now I am looking at and stock Lincoln Continental 4dr 8 cilinder 4.8ltr 32v radiator with transcooler. It´s about the same size as my old worn camaro radiator. The lincoln engine bay is fully packed and is used to cool the very hot 32 valve engine...

Will this radiator provide adequate cooling for a 5.7 or 6.0 LSX engine?

I believe it will. I have found my LS1 very easy to keep cool, it has never gotten above 210 even on a 110 degree day in heavy traffic with AC on.

Cool project you have going!!! Your radiator is a lot bigger I supose, do you really think the lincoln one wouold do?

How a bout LS2 engines, do they run any hotter?

My radiator is 25 x 17, 3 core, down flow, brass with a 16" puller fan. I do have a 180 thermostat and that is where it runs most of the time. My biggest challenge is air flow through the grill, but even with that it runs nice and cool. And thanks for the positive comments!

I don't know if the LS2 would be any different.
