Relocating shifter rearward?
Relocating shifter rearward? Are there any out of the box solutions for moving the shifter location rearward? I've seen several options for applications where the t56 pushes the shifter too far to the rear of the car.........but with my project I'm a little over 5" short of the hole with the motor mounted as tight to the firewall as possible. If there is a proven solution out there I'd much rather go that route rather than try to re-invent the wheel at this stage.

how about for a f-body? is there any way to move the shifter slightly back as to not sit so close to the pedals? like the c5 vettes, seems the shifter location is much closer to the driver, not slamming your knuckles into the hvac ***** on our f-bodys... anybody?
