New Fuel Rail Covers are here UPS man just dropped off my new fuel rail covers. I started to build my own, but then found Afterthoughts Auto (http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/) and had them do them for me. I supplied the vinyl lettering, am thinking now I should have made it bolder, it looks better in person than in the pictures. I am happy with the color, it matches the aluminum in the engine well. Thanks for the ideas from forum members.

I think they are cast from filled Corvette covers as there is no evidence of the Corvette lettering on the underside. They fit perfectly and the finish on them is good. They are painted the color of my choice, the the lettering is applied and finally clear coat. I had the lettering done in vinyl by a local sign shop for an ealier project. It matches the Studebaker lettering on my grill.

My A/C hoses were done by a local shop called of all the things "The Hose Shop". They do all sorts of industrial hoses and have the equipment to do excellent crimps and pressure test. A/C is just a small part of their business. They are not cheap by any means. I have a lot more invested in hoses than need be as I had another place do some of them first and they screwed them up. I finally bit the bullet and went to the real pros. Get the legnth right, then put the fittings in without crimping them. Then install and mark the direction the fittings should go and take them back to be crimped in position.
