LS1 In A V6 HELP!!!
you would also need if you get lq9 or lq4(6.0) or the 5.3, a new intake mandifold because the truck manifold is higher then the ls1 mandifold. you also should get ls1 front and back brakes. another thing i would get is a new rear end that has a lsd and higher gears and a 1 piece driveshaft instaed of that gay 2 piece.

Having said that, you'd honestly do better to sell your car and pick up an LS1.
However, I won't be the needled*ck who tells you to smack yourself for buying a V6. having owned one, I loved it, but owning the LS1 is truly a great automotive experience... although you'd really turn some heads in an LS1 4th gen/revision 1 car without any badging...

yeah thats true.... my brother has an 2001 transam with a t56... I know how it feels but i wanted to compare up to him in a v6 body.
