Default LS1 In A V6 HELP!!!

I wanted to know what i needed to place an LS1-T56 combination into my 3.4-A4.... I am tired of getting beat by the turboed civics that are rolling around in my neighbor hood thinking they are fast!! So i thought i would do this swap and just build the LS1 and maybe force feed it to show the rice a little beef!!! All I need to know is what "all the parts" I need and maybe if anyone knows where to get an engine and transmission around washington state would be helpful.... Thanks in advance!

Default Step One...

Put about $10,000.00 aside for the project, then line yourself up another mode of transportation. Gar

Ive got the solution.

1. sell the v6.
2. smack yourself for buying a v6.
3. buy a ls1 6 speed car

From the top of my head, I'm thinkin you 'll need
1. Ls1/T56
2. K-member
3. PCM
4. Fuel lines.
5. New Center Console
6. Clutch pedal assembly

I'm not sure if this is all for your project. There may be things I missed. I feel ya man, running a six myself and my most of my friends have boosted GSR swaps. I was planning on doing a swap project a while back but the guys on here convinced me to just save and buy an ls1 instead. Good luck on your project and hopfully you can make a thread on here with your progress.
On a side note; you'll have a v6 looking fbody with a sneaky surprise.

Yeah thats how its around here with my friends!! They have honda civic some primered and have B18c5's or B16 but with gsr heads and what i hate the most its that the engine parts for those cars are very inexpensive...... I would really like to find an engine with a t56 so I can modify it so i can wax the hell out of them!!!

Well he said he has a 3.4 which is a pre-96 car, so he's going to need more than that. There's lots of other things you need to put an ls1 into a pre-98 fbody. Besides those I know you will need an ls1 wiring harness, gauge cluster, and radiator. Probably some other stuff as well.

if you are talking to me you can pick up 5.3s for around $700-1000 at local yards around here. 6.0s are about $1000-1500. depends on year and mileage of motor. trans is about an extra $800 or so. total would be about $2000 or under. just make sure to get a harness and a computer with it.

when using a truck motor for a swap you have to keep in mind that you are going to have to buy a new oil pan, water pump, intake and accessories.

settle down

yes, the truck intake is to tall, and the pan is way to deep, the water pump gets in the way of the lower LS1 throttle body. T56 bolts up to 01 and later truck motors.

Oh ok good knowledge... So Maybe a 5.3L would be the best thing to do in this situation.... because of the expenses and all.. all i want to do is go faster and prove to my friends and all that Pontiac have power!!!
