Default Inertia Fuel Pump Cut Off

Does Chevy employ the use an inertia fuel pump cut off like Ford does on it's EFI? I've never seen it mentioned here. I would think it's an important safety device worth having in case of accident. Cuts off power to the fuel pump upon impact or roll-over.

As far as i knew ford was the only one doing that. I bought a 00' Camaro that had been rolled over and the engine and everything still works great.

The Chevy PCM takes care of that.

Are you saying that the Chevy PCM has an integral inertia switch? Does it reset itself?

On Fords, if someone bumps your car hard enough in a parking lot, it will trip the switch. It must be manually reset; it has a reset button on it. The switch in my Explorer in just under the dash on the passenger side.

i believe the pcm only cuts off the pump if the engine stops rotating, which is what most manufacurers use.

As I mentioned, my Explorer has one.

Ok, let me re-phrase the question:
Is there any provision in the late model GM cars/trucks with the LSx series motors that use any type of fuel pump cut off in case of accident/impact/rollover, etc?

58psi fuel spraying all over the place after an accident sounds just a bit dangerous, does it not? Sure seems to me that the manufacturers (all of them) would somehow address safety this issue. Anyone know for sure?
