Default LS1 into a 84' 300zx need help please

Hi I'm new to this site. Some friends brought me here while doing some research for thier cars. I love everything about this site and all the help that is givin. So now I'm asking for some help, I have an 84' 300zx that I would like to put an LS1 into it with a th350 or maybe a t56. Right now the car is stock with a 3.0v6 and a 5spd. I know the LS1 will fit but I havent found many people doing that. I Would really like some help with finding mounts or if some one knows how to make the motor and tanny mounts, wiring. I'm thinking about making it speed density instead of mas air flow. Are there good and bads to doing that? I'm keeping the stock IRS for know till it goes out then a 4 link will go in. I would like some opions on my project, maybe if some one could point me in the right direction with some links or something like that. thanks alot.

Sean

LS1 are both speed density and use a MAF sensor to get correct readings. since the car probably wont be boosted I dont see what you gain by deleating one of the systems? Your best bet would be to look at some of the 240 mount systems in here and come up with your own solution. There are many different mount systems that the 240 uses that will transfer over to the Z31.

I'm going to use No2 and alot of it. I didnt know that LS1's used both I thought they just used MAF. Later on I will be using either a S/C or turbo.

Sorry I'm not sure I understand you. What is "SD"? I've been on other sites like hybridz and stuff like that but they arnt like this site. They really dont like helping unless you really know what your doing and are stumped. I have used the search button alot on those sites and never come up with anything. And when I come across people doing what I would like to. I ask some simple questions and they never answer me. so that is what I am on here asking for some help.

Speed density aka using the Map Sensor, VSS, air intake temp and TPS to figure out how much air is going into the engine.

TH350 trans has a 1:1 final gear ratio
Use the T56 its 4th gear is 1:1 and you still have 5 and 6
You need a overdrive so you can drive it anywhere (cruise)
If you want auto use the 700R4 whitch not electronic (does not need a signal from the PCM). You can not program your shifts and it uses a speed cable to run your speedo. But it needs a TV cable so the trans can tell how much throttle you're using.
Just like the TH350 but with a better first gear and a .70 overdrive
TH350 2.52(1), 1.52(2), 1.00(3)
700R4 3.06(1), 1.63(2), 1.00(3), .70(4)
4L60E/4L65E is the same as the 700R4 but electronic you can program your shift points and it uses a speed sensor. There is no speed cable and no TV cable

Thanks for all the info. But this isnt going to be a street car. Its going to just be seeing alot of track time. SO overdrive isnt a must, I wanted the th350 for its durability and gearing.
