Temperature sender I used a 99 F body temp sender in my 5.3 into 96 Blazer. Which wires do I need to use coming from the sender. My stock Blazer only had 1 wire. The plug is a 3 pin plug. Thanks. This is for the guage, not the sensor.

All the information I have says 98 was the only F body sensor with three wires. 99 and up the temp gauge worked from serial date from the PCM. If you have the 98 sensor you need the lower center pin for the temp gauge. The sensor range is standard GM and works with factory temp gauges but it will not work with an aftermarket. Like I said, the pin you need is the one by itself, the two above it are for the PCM. Hope that helps

temperature sender Thanks, thats exactly what I was looking for. I used a plug from something else on my old Blazer harness, so the wire colors were of no use. Just needed to know what pin on the sender was needed. Also ran a resistance check and that was the only pin I could get a reading on so I already wired it that way. Thanks again. Jim
