Question LS4 oil pan

Anybody seen the LS4 oil pan? Would it bolt up to other LSx block's? Im trying to find a pan that I won't have to notch, or notch the crossmember on my 91 s10. Does anybody have any dimensions on it? I was changing the oil on one today, it seems really shallow compared to the others.

I'm bringing this back from the dead.
Has anyone tried a FWD LS4 pan on a RWD LSX? Are there baffling problems? Does anyone have any pan dimensions? This is the best picture I found of the pan:

I dont know what RWD you are trying to use that on but from the looks of it I dont know what it would fit. Everyone already has clearance proublems at the front of the pan that one looks to be even worse.

Won't fit a camaro. Other than that, you may be able to build up a custom subframe and crossmember, but it sure would cost ya. Any reason you want to use that pan? It isn't hard or that expensive to modify either an F-body or GTO pan to fit most applications.

I'm researching a potential swap into a MKIV Supra. The problem I've had with oil pans so far is the Supra has two crossmembers: one for the engine, and one for the suspension. The stock oil pan sump fits between the two crossmembers, but a typical f-body pan (or 'Vette ls2 pan I'd like to run) has its sump where the suspension crossmember is. As it stands, I'm either going to have to have a custom crossmember or oil pan made.

It looks like the LS4 pan has its sump slightly more to the center. I figure it may be easier to notch the front of the pan, if the deepest part of the sump fits between the two crossmembers.

This thread discusses the pan/subframe issue and has possible solutions:

Shallow 5-1/4" deep, 11" long, 8-1/2" wide sump, for a 6-1/2 qt capacity

I could've sworn that the LS4 was ever-so-slightly shorter so that a pan wouldn't even bolt up between it and a RWD GenIII/IV, but I could be wrong.

The crank is shorter among other things but the external dimensions of the block/heads remain the same.

I ended up buying a new LS2 pan. The reason alot of you guys could use the LS4 pan is that it's about half the price of the LS2 pan, and lot of you guys have more room to work with than my s10.

I understand the not-having-enough-room thing. The Supra subframe is in the way of the oil pan so I thought maybe the LS4 pan could work; its sump looks like its closer to the center of the pan.

Well, they are cheap enough, I would buy one and if it don't work just sell it.
