Default Do I need a pressure Regulator?

Putting an '04 Vette LS1 in a '56. Using a Rock Valley Tank; dual fuel lines up to engine. Do I need a fuel pressure regulator?

If so, what do you recommend?

Yes. Use the vette regulator, it is cheap and simple...

If you have already put the duel lines in from the tank to the engine bay.. then you may want to use a good aftermarket filter and Regulator..

If not.. use the Corvette one Filter/Regulator (99) closes to the tank and you will only need one line (unless you want to run the duel lines)

Default Double fuel line?

The Vette engine comes with a single line to the fuel rail, a much simpler way than the dual line. Why are you running a double line?

Because I have experienced problems in the past with vapor lock with this car, even with heat wrapping on fuel line and good mechanical and/or elecrical pumps. (It gets pretty hot under the hood of that '56. That may be a contributor.) I'm doing all I can to eliminate that problem, and the dual line will help immensely, from what I understand. Very strong recommendation to do it that way from Street and Performance, especially if concerned about vapor lock.

So, that eliminates use of the Corvette regulator. So, I'm not sure yet what regulator I will use.

If your engine is under 500 hp and doesn't need excessive fuel flow, use the 97-98 vette fuel rail with the regulator on it, these years have a feed and a return line. S&P sells them $$$$,but should be cheap on ebay.

I am going to be installing the fuel system soon and picked up an Aeromotive regulator. By the time I finished fetting hoses, fittings, fuel rails, filter ... I hit a large chunk of $$$$, but still less than some quotes I had gotten. I am running -8 supply/-6 return.

Well, what do you know. Thanks. Actually, I have spent the $$$ at S&P on the dual rails, and so I have the ones with teh regulator. I even called them to verify that they did.

So, I'm in business.
