Get the harness & ECM from Speartech and you can use an F-body T56 and you should be set once you decide whose motor mounts to use!

thanks, is the F-body T56 going to hold the TRQ of a LS7?
also, what motor mounts do you like? and where can I get headers for the 2nd gen camaro?
and I am thinking about adding the GMPP Stage III "hot cam", where can I get that?

thanks John. BTW, I love your car...

For motor mounts you can either get the adaptor plates from Trans Dapt (Summit or Jegs) or the adaptor plates from hotrodlane.cc I chose BRP motor mounts www.brphotrods.com

It seems that pacesetter headers for a fourth gen LS1 Z/28 will work with minor modification.

You can try www.gmpartsdirect.com for the engine or give Jason Cromer a call at Sam Taylor Buick in Florida as he gives excellent prices. I don't have his number handy but do a search on him here or at www.camaroz28.com

I have a set of aluminum LS1 to SBC engine mount adapters from hotrodlane.cc (aka Street and Performance) and I am a little suspicious that they are a too thick. It seems like most of the steel ones offered are a little thinner. I think the extra thickness is causing the motor to sit a little higher than intended and is causing my mounts not to match up correctly... however I am still investigating.

I bought the street&perf. mounts and although they look thick they do work with my stock 81 camaro clamshell mounts.

Sounds like you have answers for most of your questions now...
I am thinking about adding the GMPP Stage III "hot cam", where can I get that?
Try Brian at SDPC!
BTW, I love your car...
Thanks!
