2 fuel lines?

2 fuel lines? the motor I got had the original fuel line hooked up to the fuel rail and taped to this hose via aluminum tape is another hose with a small green plastic screw-on cap in the middle of it. Anyone know what this second hose is for? It is also a fuel hose and is connected some sort device near the fuel rail but the other end is connected to nothing. I have it all hooked and running. I just don't know what its for or if I need it.

You have a choice, you can use the OEM charcoal canister of your 69 and remove the EVAP purge valve and clean up the engine some.
Or you can use the LS1 EVAP purge system by connecting the line to that runs back to the fuel tank. And clean up the Engine compartment.
I am using my existing Charcoal canister and a vented gas cap on my Chevelle and Flashed out all of the Smog codes from the PCM.
There are a lot of threads on going either way... search on them for more input.
