No two conversions are the same, you'll need to figure out the specifics yourself

I mainly mean as far as any specialty stuff to make it work in a SN95 mustang. Thought someone may have done it. I may just stick with a big windsor motor but a h/c/nitrous ls1 would sure be fun in my light lil stang

There's a few folks in this section who are working on or have completed LS1 installs into an SN95. There's even more who swapped into a Fox. Both are directly comparable to your car, since Ford didn't change the car a whole lot from 1979 to 2004.

Brains,

Isin't his K-memeber the one you want to use or is that the 4.6L K member from 96-04? OR are all the Fox ones the same?

I believe the 95 K-member is the correct one and you use the 4.6 mounts. I think I am going to go carbuerated to save myself a lot of trouble. I'm going to do a 6.0 iron block with forged rods/pistons, ls6 ported heads and probably a texas giant cam or MS3. Can I use my 4 row radiator? And what do I have to do about the hydraulics for the clutch? And do I use my pedal assembly? I need to know whether to keep it or not.

1996+ K-member is the 4.6L, I have no idea if the SN95/Fox (1994/95) K-member will work. One gent just found the 6L block doesn't have the bolt holes to use the modified 4.6L Mustang motor mounts though.

I'll look at a 6.0L Iron block in the shop and take a pic for you guys.

So whats the deal with the stock K memebers? A SN95 will work and so will the 96+?

79-95 are the same and 96-04 are the same and the 95 k-member is the same as a fox,but it will work if its a tubular one.the only differents between the 79-95 to 96-04 is the motor is set back about 1or2 inches and improved suspension geometry

So will the 6.0 block work or not? I have one lined up but I'm not going to buy it if it won't work.

I was considering ordering the AJE tubular K-member with the SBC motor mounts. Will the LS1 mounts bolt up to this? I need to know before dropping the dough

Are you the same "I8URLS1" from TRS?

Anyway, use the search function There are many threads in here addressing all of your questions.

Here's a free one: The AJE k-member doesn't work as well as they will tell you, I'm in the midst of my swap using this k-member and the oil pan rested on the rack (flaming river at that) and touched the k-member as well. It took 3/16" spacers between the block and mounts to correct, and even then it's still close. The mounts they provide are urethane and luckily the motor doesn't move...so it should be ok except for vibration.
