I believe the stock lines are good to over 500hp so mine are still stock from the tank to where the frame rails start. The passenger side headers come so close to the lines, that I'm going to cut them and run new line outside of the frame rail and come up between the firewall and passenger side wheel well.

I think an in-tank 255lph pump with the stock fuel lines will be fine with 500 NA horsepower. If you plan on going over that with forced induction, etc., it's time to upgrade everything.

Funny you mention that, just brought the fuel system for my car tonight at Summit racing and I upgraded all of the lines on it for the stock ones I had I don't know if they are full of junk or not since the car sat for 4 years.

stock lines are the same size as the original fuel lines that come off the vette fuel filter so there shouldnt be any fitment issues. the tranny bracket welding blows *** i know, it was really just for fitments sake. the final design will be alot stronger since itll be one solid part.

thats what i did. lines run on the outside now and go in the passenger side wheel well. i put some left over rad hose around the lines to make sure they didnt get cut on the wheel well.

The fuel line size (for both the feed and return) on my '91 S13 are 1/4" ID. If I'm not mistaken the f-bodies and vettes have a 3/8" lines on them don't they?

I thought the Vette's had 3/8" lines in their fuel system and the filter/regulator was the same. There's a 5/16" return line on it but the input and the output sides of it I thought were 3/8".

They aren't 1/4" ID they are 5/16". 1/4" on the fuel lines means instant death. I dont think 1/4" would even support a lawnmower.

Maybe my car got different lines for I measured mine with a calipers and the return line and the feed line were both 1/4" ID. These are the ones that came stock on my '91 240SX Coupe, here are pics.

Here it is before I cut the end off:

And here it is after I cut the end off to make sure the end wasn't causing it to read a lower number:

This was measured on the ends of the lines up in the engine compartment.

It would be the outside diameter of the pipe and the inside diameter of the hose. The outside diameter of the pipe is probably 5/16" so the inside diameter of the hose would have to be 5/16".

I thought it was ID of the hard lines and that's how it was measured so my bad. It is 5/16" of OD and 1/4" ID on the stock 240 hard lines.

Hard lines are never measured ID" they are measured OD". Rubber line/hose is measured ID. Both the return and supply are 5/16" as stated before.

so i had an awesome day working on the motor. after realizing none of my piston rings where getting the correct gappage i look very closely at cyl 1 and notice it has a very cute crack running across the block. something i somehow never noticed. well i follow the crack across the top of the block down the side of the water jacket. so this motor is officially fucked =]

time for another motor...

car was in an accident. driver strut tower hit the valve cover and broke it. also caused two valves apparantly to barely nick the tops of the pistons (which couldnt bee seen due to the nearly 5mm layer of carbon buildup) somewhere in the process the waterjacket that supports the sleeve cracked. also after a quick hone i noticed a line appear that resembeled the crack but hadnt cracked the sleeve. whats ******* odd tho is the crack was on cyl 1, however the wreck damage was on cyl 6....
