I have not tested it, but in theory it should work. Please let me know if there is a flaw in my logic or facts. (BTW: this is for an S14)

Question for you.... can you take any good upclose pics of your front cam bearing? I'm puttin a G5-X2 in my Z06 and just would like to compare mine's condition to yours. Something like these... (if you can) here's mine w/ 70k on them and 3-5 HPDE weekends a year, almost daily driving, redline everyday.

Nice job bro! Keep it up.

Hinson = JUNK unless its their car or someone they sponsor. And even then its JunK.

Cobra, REPLACE those bearings or you will be buying a new cam buddy!

Correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't look like you modified the transmission tunnel. If not, how does the shifter sit in respect to the shifter hole?

The transmission tunnel was untouched. We did some beating of the firewall before the seams if your not sure what I am talking about um.. if you go back about 2ft from flat part of fire wall twords shifter we beat to there maybe even a foot and a half but not even half way to the shifter did we have to do anything... We maybe beat that part back 1/2" all the way around and we have good clearence you can slide your fingers around the whole transmission. The shifter sits with the hoop part above the hole and if you look strait down at it, it sits like maybe a centimeter from being even with the hole cut. We do plan on cutting the hole back approx 1" just to make sure we never run into any problems and so we can also unbolt short shifter with out dropping the tranny. If you go back a page there is a picture of where the shifter is going to sit.

the area he speaks of is really a in between area. its from where the firewall starts to where a seam is made by the chassis and where the fire wall ends. after that nothing is touched. but mayday pretty much covered it.

Have any 240 guys used the gto/corvette mount brackets?
They worked very well for my project and just required some pedestals be made to get the right height.

Your welds on your crossmember look like they could use more heat, kinda boogery. But I do like your wooden welding table.
