If I understand your question correctly, you most certainly will need a custom engine harness, if you have wiring diagrams and some brains, you should be able to figure this one out. I don't know what dependancies rely on certain systems being "plugged in" to the PCM though...

You have two options for the wiring harness. 1) Remove the extraneous wires that you won't be using. The FAQ at the top of this forum has all of the necessary information that you need. 2) Call up Speartech and have John either customize your used harness or he could even make you a completely new harness from scratch (and do it to your exact specifications).
If you chose to have Speartech do it for you, you'll only have to hook up power, ground, fuel pump, cooling fan, and a start signal. If you do it yourself, there's a lot more wiring involved. It's up to you and how comfortable you feel with automotive wiring.
