Default lsx in 69 camaro help my confusion

Ok its late and maybe I'm just tired but I'm still confused. I'm planning a LSx swap into my 69 and I've read the sticky but still don't understand completely. Can I use my stock gas pedal with a Lokar cable set-up and/or the V6 pedal set-up mentioned in the sticky, or the pedal out of an LSx vehicle? Which is the easiest, best. And does the throttle body type make a difference? Help me with my dazed and confused state please.

start with what type of Throttle body you will have.. and then go from there.

Easiest would be stock pedal and a lokar cable.. if you have a cable T/B... else you will need to go with a Pedal system out of the vehicle you got the engine out of for a drive by wire system..!

There are other options, but it will depend on what you have or want to do.

you can use a stock pedal no matter which type of tb you use......if you use a drive by wire all you gotta do is cut the old pedal off rivet the new one and put the rubber pad/trim plate over it...done deal.....cable is easiest though....you still may need to weld the linkage though depending on how it was set up before you owned it

Your stock pedal is a rod linkage type. You need a cable style pedal. I went with the Lokar bag-6095 billet pedal. or. you can use the 2nd gen Nova stock cable pedal. The throttle cable from Lokar is tc-100ls1 either way.

wrong, rice boy. you need the V6/ crossram pedal which is the cable. otherwise you've got a pivot-rod for a linkage that won't work.

You can do it in many ways.

The 6-cylinder 1969 Camaros had a cable throttle, if you can find a pedal from one of those cars it can be used.

The V8 Camaros from 1969 had linkage. On mine I got a pedal from my donor car (2002 Camaro) and welded the cable part to my old pedal.

Had to make a stop on the axlepart so the pedal stays in its place.

You might also try a Chevelle pedal, my 71 Chevelle was cable... as is my 71 Nova 6cyc is cable.
