/\/\/\/\ yeah no ****... if he sold his stock motor/trans he'd be half way to a fresh new LS2T56 pullout! then he's a cam/heads/longtubes away from serious all motor power with realy not much invested at all and he could use all of the LS2 emissions and computer crap to keep the car completely legal, whats not to like?

we are in the amazing state of indiana where you dont have to pass emissions. i love this state. we do whatever the hell we want to our cars and the goverment leaves us alone.

he was saying that part of the problem is that unlike smart american engineers the japanese enginers made the body and car harness intertwined and also have intertwined computers that need the motors computer. not sure exactly.. just glad that i have simple american cars that i can work on myself

wow that intake is hideous, and im sure it cuts down majorly on upper rpm hp.

looks exactly like the LQ4 "big nasty" intake.

i like how they spent tens of thousands of dollars on that car and then just sawzall a hole in the hood for the intake to stick out of, figure they could have afforded a custom hood.

i think a ls1 would be a better option in a Z than the VK (titan engine)

better aftermarket support, cheaper parts, lighter engine, smaller engine (easier swap) and on top of that, with just heads, a cam and some good longtubes youll be at more than enough power to scare you shitless.

theres nothing wrong with the titan engine, they are GREAT. but i think a ls1 would be a better choice.

As it turns out, the truck intake flows nearly as well as the LS6 intake, and better than the pre '01 LS1 intake. The flow numbers were posted on the truck board.

well im sure TOTAL flow is close

but runner length and diameter is what makes the difference for where you make peak power and torque.

actualy on a stock motor if you switch to the truck intake you make better numbers all around, more if you have LS1, but you still gain over LS6. problem is 1. it dosent fit on F bodies becuase of the cowl and 2. when you raise rev limiter or cam the car it needs shorter runners and 3. with a 3500 + stall it wouldnt matter anyways.

And you won't get weird looks from people. Nissan actually makes good engines, I would never buy an RX-7 to put another mazda engine in there.

BTW, RX7 example was just an example, not an attack so dont take it the wrong way.
i love people looking at me all weird.
less people i have to conversate with.

i think i read that article and it said that the engine had cams alredy in it,
and that engine is as big as a dam big block or dam near close to it just like a ford mod motor,
imo swapping to an lsx engine, that car would be afew steps above the current nissan v8 motor
and i have a hard time believing that the stock nssan heads flow as well as even stock LS1 heads, or LS6 heads
