'Vette accessories in 1st gen F-body?
What accessories fit best in a 1st gen? I am looking at a few take-out engines.....some Camaro / Firebird......some 'Vette. I may set the engine back an inch and a half with S&P mounts.

F-body will fit better. The Vette ac hangs low you have to notch the frame or maybe a bracket. You have to use the f-body oil pan instead of the vette or aftermarket. The Vette also use a a rear mounted tranny, so I think some of the senors maybe different. Good luck John

i like the corvette accessory drive better personally, esp the high mount alternator. my alternator has 1/8" clearance to the frame. A.C sucks for both of them. 'vette pan won't fit. as far as the engine sensors go, they're the same.

Or you could get any LSX engine you want and prevent every accessory issue in the book with this:
We call it the Sidewinder performance LSX accessory drive system. It includes every part need to go from a bare faced block, to the full drive system shown. This includes the ATI balancer, water pump, alt, p/s pump, a/c compressor, tensioner, belt, all ARP hardware, all brackets and pulleys.

Nope. It requires the use of the water pump that we have made for us, and we also have a compressor machined to work with our mounts etc. Basicly, you'd be left with brackets that will not bolt up to anything you currently have.
