Default Fuel system Q

ok, so i noticed that one of the fuel lines is just like an evap from the gas tank to intake. i am using tank/pump/LS1/trans out of a 2001 camaro.

this is my question: can i just not run the second fuel line and plug it off on the intake and gas tank and only run one line from the gas tank to the fuel rail.

You will need to make sure that the fuel tank is vented somehow. I am not very familiar with the Camaro fuel sending unit, but if there are only two lines (fuel pressure output and EVAP line?) you will have to leave the EVAP line open so that the tank is vented.

I plugged a short piece of hose with a bolt and attatched it to the evap line, then cut the hose about 1/4 the way through. That allows pressure to escape
but keeps moisture out of the tank.

hmm... well what about just running an open tube and tucking it somewhere in the car? maybe a breather filter on it...

This has been talked about a couple times, but no one ever came to "the one correct way to do it." Many different options.

Ihave done many LS1 swaps and have usually just left the line vented.
The only thing about doing this is that there is always a strong gas smell in the garage .

The next swap that I am doing now I am going to run the vent into the small canister on the intake . This will elimate the smell.

On my harnesses from speartech we are now leaving the wiring in the new harness for this . In past swaps I did away with that wiring.

I beleive this will elimate the fuel smell.
