Yeah an LS1 should fit without a problem. A friend of mine put an LS400 V8 in his and it is a bigger in pretty much every dimension than an LSX.

looks like a great fit with the monster sized toyota motor so the LS1 should fit no problem. now if I could only find an IS300 for cheap then I'd build one too!

Not arguing because I haven't had the two side by side, but I doubt it's much bigger, if at all, than an LS1.
