ThirdGen (F-Body) Swap help Hey. I was wondering if anyone had a schematic or instructions for how to combine the LS1 and the stock 3rd Gen? I know that Speartech, Hawks Thirdgen, etc makes them, but I can make one for less than $750...I hope.
Are you asking about an electrical schematic? If so, the computer in my 87 only controlled the tuned port so when I pulled the motor and the computer everthing else still worked (head lights,tail lights,power windows, heater controls) I ran a keyed hot wire for the fuel pump and the rad. fans. Im not for sure what you would want to combined

Yeah, a schematic. (thnx for the word, I couldn't think of it)
I thought that you had to splice the two together for it to work. I'm not going carbed, I'm doing the EFI, and you have to combine the two engine harnesses so that the LS1 will operate the speedo and stuff in the car.

now just find the connector pinouts for the LS1 harness you have... if you have a 99-02 fbody harness, it'll be easy to find.
