some more quick updates:
got the front suspension together tonight:
BMR alternator bracket:
tomorrow night ill get the brakes on and itll finally hit the gound. still need to make some spacers for the motor mounts to get more clearance for the rack. then depending on the chassis shop, ill get the trans crossmember made and possibly headers...

played hooky from work today, was way too nice out here in NJ to go in lol, got the front suspension all done and the car is back on the ground. few little issues i found: had to space the motor mounts to raise the engine up for steering rack clearance(used alignment shims) i know someone mentioned this about the AJE k-member, i might make plates because i think the shims could possibly fall out(which would be very not good, id use washers but that would look bad lol). number two is the steering shaft for the rack is very close to the drivers side motor mount, so im gonna have to clearance that as well. took pics, so enjoy...
electric water pump:
steering shaft clearance issue:
first time in the sunlight in about 2 months
underneath:
took out the front seats, got rid of the clutch pedal for now:

That looks familiar ;-)
Looks like you needed to space it up about as much as I did. I'm using tubular spacers (LOL "fat washers" as my brother calls them). I'm going to attempt to swap in some offset rack bushings to lower the rack a hair, but the rack might hit the K so we'll see. Love that Meziere!

some small stuff(will have pics later on):
removed the dash and a/c box yesterday(gonna save it though so i can put a/c in it eventually if i want), started working on the wiring a bit, labeling stuff, looking for a spot to put the pcm, made some block off plates for all the damn holes in the firewall , put the front sway bar in(its huuuuge! and yes i will take it out when i go to the track!)
i figured since im on a budget(kinda) that id post this:
i bought the car for $500, sold the engine and trans for $350, made $50 off scrap metal(old kmember, exhaust, driveshaft, struts, control arms, trans crossmember, etc), got $35 for the old catalytic converter, so i basically got the car for $65...
still trying to decide on a fuel system and what exhaust system i want(tailpipes are a must)...
anyway back to work...

Harness clipped in,coils on, and ginormous Eibach swaybar bolted up:
No more heater box, replaced it with lots of wires....
all the crap i took out of the dash shell:
trying to figure out what im gonna do with the gauges... kinda wanna have them behind the woodgrain so they dont "stick out" so much...

im having them made, car was supposed to go back to the chassis shop friday for the trans crossmember and driveshaft loop but he was backed up with work. the place im going to use for headers knows the chassis guy, so he'll probably make them while its there...
from what i read in powershiftkung's thread, american racing headers isnt making them as a production... if they are id like to know lol

Do they want to make 2 sets if they are reasonable? If not I may order the 351's I guess?
By the inside of the car, I would repaint it the pea green in the pics, thats pimp... did you sell your Bu? Im still debating on selling mine..... not enough money or time...

another small update...
took the car back to the chassis guy saturday, having a trans crossmember made and a driveshaft loop, needed something to do while the car was gone!
BEFORE:
AFTER:
i was going to stick with the "woodgrain" but with the silver gauges it really doesnt look too appealing(to me atleast) so im gonna do something with that, also going to put the shift light in the a/c vent on the drivers side...
