Need some help with 1978 Jeep CJ7 engine swap.
Planning to swap a 5.3 from a newer silverado into a 1978 Jeep CJ7.
It has the 4.2l 6 cylinder in it now with the T-18 4 speed tranny and Dana 20 Transfer case.
I'd like to retain the T-18 Tranny and swap the 5.3 in.
What will I need as far as motor mounts, computer, cooling system, wiring harness, clutch and flywheel ect.?
If anyone has part numbers or maybe a good website to check out let me know.
Thanks

I am now done with my conversion. It is finally up and running.
I think Novak makes a bellhousing adapter for T-18 to adapt to GM engines? Check the link below.

I got almost all my parts (cooling, adapters, motor mounts etc.) from Novak. They were quite helpful and know their stuff. All fits nicely.
The bolt pattern is the same in GenIII and GenI engines!
