fuel pump ???'s
fuel pump ???'s you guys that are running an external fuel pump, what are you using. i need one for my wrangler project but theres several options out there. just trying to narrow it down a little to what people have had good luck with. btw the motor is a cam only ls1 with fuel injection. i will be running a ~20 gallon aluminum fuel cell.
also jegs or summit carries the quick disconnect for the fuel rails to mate to AN fittings right??

Yes.. both Jeg's and Summitracing carry the Quick Disconnect, they are marketed by Russell in both for the feed 3/8" = RUS-640850 and return line in 5/16" = 640860
You have other options..
1) What I did was had my local Tubing and pipe guy braze a AN -6 Fitting on the end of the Fuel Rail, costed me about $10 for labor and the part.
2) others have used a Hard Line Compression to a AN -6 adapter on the Fuel Rail. I used one on my feel line from the frame to the fuel rail since I had 3/8" Stainless Steel line already run.
You can use those Q/D anywhere to adpate to AN fittings that there is a GM type of hard line with the barb on the end of it. (GM Type of fuel tank sender/lines, Corvette Fuel Filter Regulator, etc..)
You have other options..

Glad to see a lot of guys here doing Jeep projects -
I am currently using an MSD comp pump, very heavy duty geroter design, -8an fittings, works very well, but is LOUD. I have used a vortech pump in the past on other motors and am prob going to switch to this type of pump simply for noise reasons. If anyone wants a good deal on a serious fuel pump let me know.
Like bczee mentioned, I just bought a Russells hard tube compression adapter for the fuel rail and ran braided stainless line from there. Worked fine and inexpensive.
I would love to see some pics when it is finished, I am goign to try and get some video up soon on mine.

After using the Q/D's.. and completing my fuel system.. I most likely would not use the Q/D as much if I knew what I know now.. I would only use were I have a need to disconnect the line quickly.. (never !)

What Stealth said !.. Summit, Russell, Earl's.. etc.. Just check the manufactors catalog or web site, they all work.. just depends on what Manufactor, color or shape that you like and they come in many...

You don't have to use the "actual" Jeep fuel pump. It can be swapped for a sufficient intank fuel pump. I wanted to keep the factory Jeep fuel gauge, so i modified the factory asssembly. You could always wear ear plugs.
