I'm in the process of putting a H/C LS6 into my '23 street/strip T-bucket. The car weighed about 1720 lbs dry with a mild 455 olds BB and turbo 350 and 8" rear. Ran 10.20s @ 128 with this combo with a cheap 4 pt cage. I'm hoping it still can be about 1750 lbs with me in it and some safety improvements!

The car runs high 9's and goes over 180+ at Pocono. The LS1 has been lightly worked, cams intake and porting on the heads. I us an FAST Injection setup. The car runs and drivers like a daily driver. Gotta love GM FI.

Need to see some pictures of this..........Can't be much left of the 914 if your at 1410lb with fuel and a driver. Thats over a 1000lbs lighter than my street 914 with a LS1.

I would love to see some pics of both the LS1/914's mentioned.
BigKat- can you post some pics. What transaxle are you running?
The automatic model FD RX-7 came with a 3:90 ring gear BTW (also 8"). If you replace the stock Torsen LSD with an '86-88 Turbo2 LSD (clutch pack style) or KAZZ clutch pack style LSD followed by 300M forged steel axles the unit can withstand a ton of abuse as long as you don't wheel hop it. I'm going to try and throw 700rwhp+ at mine (on nitrous).
My previous LS1/FD was 2800lbs with full tank of fuel and heavy steel dual 3" exhaust (cats/Xpipe/heavy Magnaflow mufflers), no a/c, no stereo. With lexan rear window/CF rear hatch and lighter exhaust I think you can get one down to 2700lbs or less. It was 49.5% weight up front and 50.5% out back after the conversion and the crossweights with me in the car were within 1lb of each other!
The only thing I don't like about the Miatas is that they can't swallow up much tire making them very traction limited.
