Drive by wire 5.3-700r4 trans question Looking at a very clean low mile 06 truck 5.3 that i would like to use in my 72 k5 blazer. I want to use a 700r4 transmission and np205 transfer case. My biggest concern is if it would be possible to use the tv(kick down) cable from the transmission...how would it get input from the throttle body. My first thought was that it wouldnt be possible so i though i would ask here if anyone was doing it.

I don`t know if anyone has used a np205 behind the 4l80e.
For the TV cable you could make a bracket/system to connect it to the gas pedal instead of the TB. Someone else on here did that and there is a thread about it. You have to be very careful if you do that, the TV cable needs the correct amount of travel and in the correct arc.

im thinking either an older motor all together or try to swap the tb to a cable throttle type....but that would change the harness' needs.....waiting to hear back from speartech on what it would take....might not be worth the effort.
