Its a very faith based car

Without a lot of tire under it and the shortwheel base it will do what you want it to do but a lot of times you don't think your going to make it. Its tough to explain but if you start really thinking about the next corner you'll go slower.
The car car do a lot more than it feels it can do and there seems to be this transition where it feels like its going to let go before it digs in.
Best part were the brakes. I had Hawk Black's for track days, dirt cheap compared to C5 race pads and you could jam on the brakes at 140 with a just a single hand on the wheel and it would stop straight and hard.
I wish I could get brakes like that for the C5.
The C5 is far more forgiving to drive with overall a better feeling of grip and a much larger sense of when its going to break loose but the FD corrected much easier than the C5. I had far more fun on the street with the FD than the C5 because it was so easy to correct.
Back to back I prefer to drive the C5 on the track minus the brake issue....now if someone gave me an FD and told me they'd replace it for free if I wrecked it, then I'd take the FD over the C5.
I'm going to get another one one day...thats why I check this forum a lot. I had a triple black R1 and without AC it was not a good DD but I do miss it. Now I'm just in a position to have both the FD and the C5 so the FD will be more of a dedicated track car in the near future.
instead of having two projects going at the same time.
But post some pics if you want. If you're not in a hurry to sell it, I will be in the market in a couple years. Andrew
