Wondering if someone could help me out and let me know what vehicles that I can find an LQ4 or an LQ9 in?

I'd appreciate any detailed infor you can provide!!

Make / Model / Year range.

"The Vortec 6000, or LQ4, is a V8 truck engine. It is a bored version of the Vortec 5300. Displacement is 6.0 L (5967 cc) from 101.6 mm bore and 92 mm stroke. It is an iron/aluminum design and produces 300-325 hp (224-242 kW) and 360-370 ft·lbf (488-502 N·m). LQ4s are built in Romulus, Michigan and Silao, Mexico.

The Vortec HO 6000 or VortecMAX, technically the LQ9, is a special high-output version of the Vortec 6000 V8 truck engine originally designed for Cadillac. This engine was introduced in other truck lines as VortecMAX for 2006. It features high-compression (10:1) flat-top pistons for an extra 10 hp and 10 ft·lbf, bringing output to 345 hp (257 kW) and 380 ft·lbf (515 N·m). LQ9s are built only in Romulus, Michigan.

Now that Jones'n has done some legwork for you, check out car-part.com and find yourself a motor.

The LQ9 will cost you more than a LQ4 due to limited availability / production volume and requires premium (the LQ4 will get by on 87 just fine.)

Don't forget to look at the Vans. I saw some good deals there when I was looking.

And lastly, don't be afraid to ship it. KY should be pretty decent for price, but some areas (like Baltimore) the salvage yards want ridiculous money for LQ4's. When I was looking the cheapest 6.0 within reasonable driving distance was $2500. I bought a lower mileage newer engine out of a yard and had it shipped to me. Motor was $1200, shipping (with a 4L80E trans which cost me $800) was $140. Just be sure you're getting what you want.
