Default Viper Engine in an F-body?

Does anyone know have an idea much work it would be to drop a Viper engine into an F-body? I'm looking at one w/ very low miles at a good price. Also does anyone know a place in Columbus, OH that would do it?

I think youd have a big problem fitting it into the fbody chasis. You would have to rebuild the front k member.Even then, I dunno, I dont have any experience, im sure someone who does will chime in.

I doubt you would be able to get it to fit properly. Take some quick measurements of the length of the block and then measure the block in you're f-body. Add the extra length and see how far forward the motor would protrude. I think you would run into issues with it hitting the radiators.

might try searching the 'net a bit - there was one company in AZ (forgive me I dont remember exactly) Arizona Speed & Marine perhaps... they were dropping Ford PU V-10's into mustangs. Real nice clean conversions from what I remember. - companies like that would know real quick what fits and what doesnt.

these guys would probably know - http://www.w2wpowertrain.com/

first of all, that's sacralidge to put that motor in an f body, #1 it weigh's a TON, and #2 you can get just as much power out of a bigger CI lsx as you can from that v10, and it won't sound euro-trashy. #3, it will never fit... so it's not an option anyway.

I'm gona say length is the biggest problem the cylinders have about a 4 inch bore so its like adding a cylinder to each bank of an LSX engine. But with enough money anything can be done I remember a few years back there was a V-10 PT Cruiser running around the auto shows.

You talking the valve cover? If so, what is wrong with them, you saying cause the valve covers are so high? That seems to be how the engine looks:

BTW, I'm not trying to say that the car is real, just saying it looks like they just took a picture of the engine and put it into the car type thing if it was photochopped.
