mechanical water temp sensor With some brillant thinking and engineering, along with some feedback from some guys on here, I came up with this to read the water temp. I know what everyone is thinking, how accurate is it, reading it from the heater hose. The gauge reads 185-190 consistantly, thats what thermostat is in the car. I believe it to be accurate. This is only temporary till I get some nice auto meters and will go to electric gauges. I had these cheap gauges in the car and it only cost 10 bucks or so from home depot. I used a 1/2" pipe tee with 1/2" to 5/8" hose barb fittings, then the appropriate adapters to screw it in. Hope this helps someone, Josh
