help please.....
help please..... I'm installing a LS1 in a 85 trans-am (tuneport) and could use some help. first whats the best way to run the alt connections, batt-ground and the alt to the harness? second I'm not sure how to install an after market regulator what needs to stay and what can go a schematic would really be helpfull. thanks in advance

For the alternator make sure you ground the engine to the frame and the battery to the frame or motor. It is also a good idea to ground the motor to the firewall, you can never have too many grounds 
.
For the + charging side you need to route that to the battery. usually the output from the alternator goes to the positive battery cable then to the battery.
For the fuel pressure regulator why not use a vette fuel pressure regulator/filter, its cheaper than an aftermarket regulator and has a filter included. Just search for vette regulator. It is pretty easy to hook up, there are pictures with the ports labeled in at least a few threads.
