Toying with selling my conversion
I have been off and on about this for about 2 years now. I really love the car, and am considering getting rid of it to help with financial issues that I am having from starting a family. If it were not for that, the car would be mine forever!
It is an 88 Firebird Formula. This car was in a couple of magazines in the past. There are some links to the articles at the car domain site link in my sig. The site also has some pics, but unfortunatly I have been so busy I haven't managed to get the other 50 or so pics and vids uploaded yet. Most of the pics are from the earlier stages of the build. I am considering any REASONABLE offers. I don't really know what the car should be valued at. If you are interested at all, pm me and i will supply all info, pics and vids that I possibly can. I will update this thread and the car domain site within the next day or so for everyone.
Thanks, and hope you like what you see, i have a lot of time into this car.

Put it on ebay with a reserve high enough to keep you happy, and enjoy the best cheap advertising around. You need to treat a national offering opposite of a local sale, local you want to get interest and have them come look, national (ebay or here) you need to lay out every detail you can, but I wouldn't do a huge list of the non stock parts, just focus on what it does and how well it runs, otherwise you spook all the non gearhead buyers. good luck.

Thanks for the advice, I have thought about ebay, but I just wanted to see how this does first. As far as the car goes about the only things that I can think to add are that the car has been at the track once since the build, and it ran a best of 12.45 @ 114 mph. The car averages 18-20 mpg city, and 26-30mpg hwy. Also if it helps, there is another member of the board that I purchased the car from in 2005. NineBall who is an admin. here was the previous owner.

I agree that you have a waaaay better chance on ebay. Even though this forum is pretty popular, there will only be a small group that will make it to this forum (conversions & hybridz), and only a few dozen that will probably even ask specific questions yet alone offer a bid.
Save yourself the time and energy...put it on ebay...set it and forget it.
Looks like ya have "ttt" as a hotkey in the past 4 days, just kidding!
Good luck on the sale, I know the blood sweat and tears that probably went into this and I wish you and your family only the best!

$7500 for a clean thirdgen with a LS1? I'll be surprised if you don't get it, since I've seen clean-but-stock thirdgens go for not a whole lot less, and a LS1 is probably one of the few mods that does increase value somewhat.
If I had cash and wasn't buying a house, your car would be very tempting.

I have some new pics of the few paint blemishes. There are not many, but the one's that are there, I have close up pics of them. I will send them to people that are interested in buying the car. Understand that this car is 20 years old with the original paint.
