Ok so do you know where I can find a cheap t56? As far as the t5 goes I think I'm calling it the wrong thing. What is the five speed that is in the ** IROC.

correct that is a t5, the 3rd gen trans. its joke for hi perf. builds
unless u are using a gforce built t5, but thats a racing trans is well beyond
3k$.
t56 is 6 spd. from 4th gen f bodies,
i dont know bout cheep, t56 price range from 1000$-1500$ for stocker
or rebuilt ones, but well worth the $ imo

ok, that makes more sence now, i thought you meant a ford based t5 trans. well, +1 on the 6 speed because it can be made strong, is stronger to begin with, plus you can run a steep ring gear and still drive it around at non-rediculous rpm's.

that is called a lean backfire.if it bogs it is too rich.try adjusting the little plastic cam on the throttle to the 2 position.if that don't work call back

Put new plugs in it and it went away but i am real lean now, plugs white and spark knocking. I am going to jet it up and see if that takes care of it.
